NBC’s Revolution drama, now viewable online but officially premiering Sept. 17, has recruited Grey’s Anatomy alum Kim Raver for a juicy recurring role. RELATED | Revolution Bosses Answer Burning Qs, Promise Ass-Kicking Adventure (and Rule Out One Blackout Theory) Set 15 years in the future, Revolution — exec-produced by J.J. Abrams and penned by Eric Kripke (Supernatural) — depicts the aftermath of a global blackout, in which all power goes out. Billy Burke and Tracy Spiradakos lead one band of survivors, while Breaking Bad Emmy nominee Giancarlo Esposito plays Capt. Neville, the officious leader of a militia serving the makeshift Monroe Republic. Details on Raver’s character are being kept under lock and key, but sources confirm that the part is a pivotal one. (BTW, the Revolution pilot can currently be viewed at NBC.com.) In addition to her turns as Grey’s doc Teddy Altman, who was written off the ABC series in May, and of course 24′s Audrey Raines, Raver’s TV credits include The Nine, Lipstick Jungle and Third Watch.

The Nature Conservancy’s 12th Annual Beaches & Bays Gala in East Hampton on Saturday raised a whopping $610,000.
Held on the grounds of the Conservancy’s Center for Conservation, 325 guests attended. A live auction, “Dough for H20″ raised $120,000 for improving water quality on Long Island.
Jeff Hughes, chairman of the board, was honored for his longtime support of conservation. Christina and Alan MacDonald, and Bettina and Fred Stelle serve as the event’s co-chairs.
Raver, whose character Teddy exited the show in the finale, told us, “The table read was just so emotional. You work really together as a family, and so even though you know it’s a storyline, there’s so much happening on so many different levels.” And yes, she was one of the criers at the table read! “I mean, sobbing, sobbing, sobbing, because there is no going back.”
Still, this might not be the last viewers will see of Teddy! Creator Shonda Rhimes recently told us she’d love to do a spinoff centering on the polarizing character, an idea Raver is totally down with! “I think that would be great fun. I love working together with [Shonda],” she said. “I just think that she’s just sort of one of a kind, so yeah, to be able to do a Teddy spinoff would be quite fun!”
